Sarah McMahon

CREDENTIALED MENTAL HEALTH NURSE

Sarah McMahon is a Credentialled Mental Health Nurse who provides evidence-based therapy to children, adolescents, and adults experiencing mental health challenges. She consults at Coasties Diabetes across the Central Coast of NSW, and also runs her own private practice, Saltwater Therapy Service, based in Erina.

Sarah's clinical background is what sets her apart. She spent the first half of her nursing career working across the medical, surgical, and emergency departments at Gosford Hospital — experience that gives her a uniquely holistic understanding of how physical health affects mental wellbeing and a person's ability to cope.

She specialises in child and adolescent mental health, while also working extensively with adults. Every session is individually tailored, drawing on a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) skills, Emotional Coaching, and Mindfulness.

Appointments are available in person at Coasties Diabetes clinics across the Central Coast, or via telehealth from anywhere in Australia. GP referrals are welcome.
