Diabetes Education & Management

Diabetes Education & Management

Living with diabetes — whether type 1, type 2, gestational diabetes, or impaired fasting glucose — involves managing many moving parts every day. Our Credentialled Diabetes Educator works with you to make that easier, building your knowledge, confidence, and skills so you can manage your diabetes effectively in your everyday life.

We provide expert diabetes education and management across our clinics in Gosford, Umina Beach, Manly, and Macquarie University, as well as via telehealth from anywhere in Australia.

What we can help you with:

  • Understanding your diabetes (type 1, type 2, gestational, and impaired fasting glucose)

  • Insulin pump therapy — new starts, upgrades, and ongoing support for Omnipod, Medtronic, and Tandem

  • Continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) — setup and training for Dexcom, Freestyle Libre, and all major brands

  • Physical activity and exercise management

  • Medication starts, reviews, and changes

  • Insulin start education and optimisation

  • Self-management skills and strategies

What to expect at your consultation:

Every consultation is personalised to your individual needs and goals. A typical appointment will include a discussion of your current self-management behaviours, a lifestyle and management assessment, a medication review if needed, and a personalised management plan developed together with you. Follow-up consultations are available to review your progress and adjust your plan over time.

GP referrals are welcome. A valid referral is required to claim a Medicare rebate. Telehealth appointments are available Australia-wide.
