    Nikki Witney

    RN CREDENTIALED DIABETES EDUCATOR

    Nikki has worked as a Credentialled Diabetes Educator (CDE) for over 15 years in both the public and private health sectors in Australia, Canada, USA and the UK.

    Nikki will be your advocate, educator, and biggest supporter as you navigate life with diabetes. She brings a wealth of expertise and understanding to every individual she works with. She encourages people to learn skills at their pace and ability, always with a snse of humour and grounded in reality.

    Nikki has extensive knowledge in the managemnt of Type 1 diabetes, insulin pump therapy and Continuous Glucose Monitoring Systems being an accredited trainer for all available Australian devices. She provides support to those with pre-diabetes, insulin resistance, PCOS, type 2 diabetes and women with Gestational Diabetes. She also provides education sessions to other health care professionals and for carers of people with diabetes.

    A/Prof Bernard Champion

    ENDOCRINOLOGIST

    A/Prof Champion is an Endocrinologist and Head of the MQ Health Discipline of Endocrinology. After three years as an Academic VMO in Geelong he returned to Sydney help establish the newly independent Nepean Clinical School. He holds a Masters qualification in Medical Education and he remains heavily involved with teaching of medical student and doctors in training. His interest includes pituitary and adrenal disorders, disorders of reproductive hormones (including gender dysphoria) thyroid disease, metabolic diseases including diabetes and obesity.

    Dr Divya Naboodiri

    ENDOCRINOLOGIST

    Dr Divya Namboodiri is a Consultant Endocrinologist dedicated to providing comprehensive and personalised, evidence-based care to her patients.

    After obtaining her Undergraduate Medical Degree from India, she underwent Basic Physician Training at Nepean Public Hospital and subsequently undertook Advanced Training in Endocrinology at Macquarie University, Blacktown, and Liverpool hospitals. She obtained Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of Physicians (FRACP) in 2022. She has publications in peer reviewed journals in the areas of Pituitary and Thyroid disorders. She has been actively involved in medical student teaching with the Macquarie University MD program and is also involved in clinical trials and research projects at Macquarie University Hospital.

    Dr Namboodiri enjoys managing all aspects of Endocrinology including Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes, metabolic health and weight management, thyroid disease, osteoporosis, pituitary disorders and endocrine disorders during pregnancy.  She has a special interest in management of Type 1 Diabetes and Thyroid disorders.

    She is multilingual (English, Hindi and Malayalam).

    Sarah Bilbao

    MENOPAUSE & WOMENS HEALTH SPECIALIST NURSE EDUCATOR

    Sarah our Menopause and Women's Health Nurse Educator brings over 35 years of nursing experience, with a primary focus on female reproductive and sexual health. Her expertise spans menopause care, gynaecology, midwifery, well-women screening, family planning, sexual health and assisted reproductive treatments (IVF). 

    She provides education and management recommendations for women with perimenopause, menopause and general sexual and reproductive health advice including contraceptive options and safe sexual practices.

    Sarah McMahon

    CREDENTIALED MENTAL HEALTH NURSE

    Sarah, is a Credentialed Mental Health Nurse, who offers evidence-based therapy sessions to help people that experience mental health challenges.

    She owns and runs Saltwater Therpay Sevice, based in Erina, and can be found there when not at Coasties Diabetes.

    She specialise in child and adolescent mental health,but also works with adults.

    She spent the first half of my nursing career working in Gosford Hospital in the medical,surgical, and emergency departmenst. This experience gives her a unique approach to mental health and wellbeing, as she understands how your physical health affects your mental health and coping abilities

    She uses a range of therapeutic approaches including, but not limited to. CBT, DBT skills, Emotional Coaching and Mindfulness. Every session is tailored specifically to your needs and concerns.

    Graduate Diploma in Applied Mental Health Studies – specialising in Child & Adolescent
